Floriography is the art of communication through the arrangement of flowers.
It became hugely popular with the Victorians who used bouquets to convey secret messages but its origins are believed to have originated from ancient African and Asian cultures. The Victorians took this further and developed floral dictionaries for the conveyance of complex messages.
